What should I do when my wireless internet has about a 2 hour connection, max.?
We have a brand new D-Link WBR-1310 wireless router. When we first started using it, it had great connection, but recently, after about 2 hours the internet on the laptop simply stopped working. The computer doesn't display the internet as disconnected, the page just won't load.
I ask because we're about to get another laptop added to our network. Every time the internet goes down, we have to shut off the modem and the router, wait about 2 minutes, and turn it back on. Surprisingly, it works good-as-new for the next 2 hours. We could keep going like this, but it's just a hassle?
A few people have reccomended we just invest in a new, and better router. We got this one for free with our last computer, so it's no big deal. I just wanted to see if it was something I could fix.

Did you put the router in a proper place with good air circulation? It's a good idea to let air circulation better on the router to prevent it from overheating.
But there's one another thing you can do, if you are willing to try: You can go to D-Link website, and find the latest firmware upgrade for your router's model. Follow the instruction on how you can upgrade the firmware. It's easy.
AFAIK, most of problems come with DLINK and any others networking devices (esp wireless) can be fix just to upgrade the firmware. Good luck.
