do big speaker/subwoofers damage lcd screeen?
i have a 100watt sony subwoofer and 2 massive floor standing speakers rated at 80 watts and small 80 watt on top of the floor standing speakers,next to my 42 inch lcd tv i have recently noticed that there are gaps in the spelling of the channel number and the av menu im wondering if its casused by the the speakers.
if yes how do i prevent it please help
Is that the only picture distortion you're noticing? If so, then it might be a problem with the character generator that puts those images on the screen.
If you notice that there's similar distortion to all images on the screen, I suppose it's possible that the magnetism from an improperly shielded speaker could cause picture distortion on an LCD screen. But, not really like what you're describing.
To find out for sure, just move the speakers about 10 feet away from the TV and see if this affects the picture. If not, it's not the speakers and you may just need to have the TV calibrated. Or, maybe you have one of the zoom settings different from what it normally was.
