An outstanding phone we had the chance to review is a classic Nokia 1661 mobile phone which at the same time, is said to be a user-friendly phone and practical for users to connect to those close to them. A mobile phone that has been created to rival the mobile phone market, it is known to be one of the lowest cost color phone including an FM radio and a large color screen.

It is available in two colors which are black and grey. The Nokia 1661 is featured with music and audio playback such as FM radio and ring tones. Integrated memory capacity for this mobile phone is 8MB. Lost a valuable item in a dark place? With the Nokia 1661 you'll have the luxury of finding that lost item quickly with the built-in LED Flashlight. The 1661 has the dimension of 108 x 45 x 13.55 mm and weighs 82g. This item's size will please its users.
Music enthusiasts will also love this phone for it supports built-in MP3 grade ring tones. It has an operative frequency of dual-band EGSM 900/1800, and GSM 850/1900. There is also a voice and audio recording in this 1661 which supports FR, EFR, HR, and AMR formats. The Nokia 1661 also sports a 1.8" TFT display of 128 x 160 pixels that has 65k-colors that brings clarity and brightness for the user's viewing pleasure. Like any other phones, the 1661 is also featured with customizable profile, ring tone composer (Nokia has equipped its 1661 with a 32 chords ring tone player, ready for you to add a lot of ring tones.), and themes such as wallpapers, organic wallpapers, full-screen wallpapers, pre-installed themes, changeable color themes and user defined themes. An interesting option of the Nokia 1661 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere. It has a maximum Talk time of GSM (Ectel) 4 hrs 10 min and maximum Standby time GSM (Ectel) 475 hrs. Additional innovations include a 2.5 mm Nokia AV connector and system connect of Easy flash II, for easy firmware updating and a BLC-4C 860 mAh Li-Ion battery.
If you like skinnable phones you will like to know the 1661 enables you to do so as well. The phone includes a calendar which is very intuitive and Nokia equipped it with a phone book having a capacity of 500. Text is still as easy as ever with the use of the T9 technology. The Nokia 1661, which we truly found to be a wonderful phone, really rivals most of the budget-mobile phones out there and we strongly advice this to anyone looking for a good, affordable phone.
