can i use a modem that has both internet and VoIP for xbox live?
time warner cable gave me this modem that lets me connect my pc and telephone to it, but when i tried to connect my xbox through the ethernet jack, it didn't connect.
do i need a router?
yes you will need a router to share the Internet connection BC they register the mac id of the network card so you cant just take the modem anywhere and use it... it will only work with the computer it is connected to... when you get the router you will have to clone the mac id on it to get it to work... any other question feel free to mail me.
